Well, its been a busy month with no time for car building. However I secured a set of nice ZX9R carbs off ebay and comparing them with my ZZR1100 carbs all I can see is the outside two carbs being 3mm wider. Also the new carbs smell of petrol so have been used recently whereas I don't have clue the last time the ZZR carbs ran!

So I've moved the two outside manifold rubbers on my manifold out and the new carbs fit nicely. I decided to change the carbs because my ZZR carbs don't have a TPS but the ZX9 one do. That makes it all the simpler to wire the Megajolt. I thought it was easier to remove a bit metal and reposition the holes rather than engineer some mounting for a tps, made all the more difficult because I didn't have a TPS!

I've given the manifold a lick of paint and that will be ready to fit to the engine tomorrow.

I've fitted the handbrake cable today and with a bit of fiddling to take up the slack it now works ok with 3 clicks before its on solid. Although when tested the handbrake, pushing on the roll bar the wheels stay solid and slide across the floor! Needs some fuel in to weigh the backend down a bit. Oh, and me, to weigh it down a lot!

Next step is the petrol cap and filler hose, along with some of the lights for the back, and I am considering once again where, and how, to fit the battery. I'm still considering my choice of seats at the moment as I can't make my mind up what type I want to put in the car. Bling or comfy? Choices!!

Hopefully I can progress along a bit now and hope to be updating the blog a bit more often.
